Companies commit to a healthy work environment
Together with its partners, Health Promotion Switzerland is implementing various projects to initiate, evaluate and disseminate Workplace Health Promotion.
National Workplace Health Promotion Conference
Every year since 2004, Health Promotion Switzerland and SECO have offered experts and other interested parties a platform for sharing knowledge and networking. This conference responds to practitioners’ needs and feedback and represents the state of the art in workplace health promotion. In 2009, the event was attended by 600 people, and the trend is steadily upward.
SWiNG – a project concerning stress management and the impact and benefits of workplace health promotion
Health Promotion Switzerland and the Swiss Insurance Association (SIA) are jointly conducting interventions for health promotion in the workplace in a wide range of companies. This involves an analysis of the impact of interventions with regard to the reduction of adverse consequences of stress, a study of economic indicators and the formulation of general recommendations and arguments supporting the broad implementation of public and organizational (POH) interventions. The project is based on the products and experience of KMU-vital.
EAPH prize – health and the workplace
For the Swiss section of the European Association for the Promotion of Health (EAPH/AEPS), Health Promotion Switzerland and SUVA provide prizes worth CHF 30,000 for interventions in the area of health promotion or prevention within an enterprise, public authority or other institution.
Generation management – meeting the demographic challenge
Health Promotion Switzerland advises enterprises on analysis and planning of pilot projects, supplies scientific foundations and brings together institutions, experts, service providers and SMEs from all sectors. Generation management is to be addressed at every level: employee, management, team and corporate level.
Dissemination of workplace health promotion in small enterprises
Together with the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), Health Promotion Switzerland is pursuing the development and testing of models for the regional dissemination of Workplace Health Promotion in small enterprises.
